Most of you have landed on this webpage because you are familiar
with Jamie Ostrow from having stationery or invitations or holiday
cards designed and printed by us Perhaps you visited our store on
Madison Avenue in New York City which we had for 15 years or today
you shop in a store that carries our products, but for those of you
who are unfamiliar with our work please indulge me and allow me to
tell you who we are, what we do and what we think.
I decided to go into this business when I realized that what the
personalized stationery and invitation world was missing was good
contemporary design. Everything was dated or boring (or both!) I
knew that I could create colorful exciting designs that would be
simple, sophisticated and elegant but fit in, in today's modern
world.
For the past 30 years I have remained true to this goal. Our designs
continue to be fresh without being contrived or ever over done. Our
designs are as timely as they are classic, incorporating the "in"
colors and styles of the
seasons with designs that are ageless.
This is not the site for flowers and flourishes - All our products
are crisp and clean – relying on the use of typography as the focus
of the design. This, along with our use of color and texture in both
paper and ink are what make Jamie Ostrow stationery and invitations
stand out from the rest.
No one has ever received a Jamie Ostrow invitation that popped - up,
dropped - out or otherwise made you think "how gauche". Nothing
over-the-top - just understated, pleasing to the eye and always in
good taste.
Our customers are extremely loyal, returning each year for their
holiday
purchases and stopping by for the important moments and celebrations
in their lives. They are confident that when they buy from us they
are buying from someone who knows them and will not disappoint.
We work with selected dealers throughout the country - most of whom
have dealt with us for many years as well as directly with our loyal
New York City clientele. See our store locater for a store near you
or contact us and we will direct you to a dealer who carries what
you are looking for. Not all of our dealers carry all of our
products.
Everything we do we do in-house; design, typesetting, platemaking,
die-cutting, custom paper laminating and of course the letterpress
printing.
Our quality is high, our prices are high and our standards are high.
That is why we are personally involved in every step of the
manufacturing process and with everything that goes out our door.
We are located in East Hampton, New York- arguably home of the
world’s most beautiful beaches- (and people!) so if you can’t reach
us, we are probably having lunch on the beach thinking how lucky we
are to be doing what we love in such wonderful surroundings |
